
Thermal Oil Boiler
Thermal oil boilers use heat transfer oils that can be heated up to 300 °C at atmospheric pressure without undergoing any structural change. The heat transfer oil circulating through the coil inside the boiler body can be heated to 250–300 °C with the help of a burner, and the generated heat is transferred to the required process or facility via hot oil. Thermal oil boilers are particularly suitable for heat recovery due to their high flue gas outlet temperatures. By adding an economizer or air preheater on or behind the boiler, part or all of the facility’s hot water or hot air requirements can be produced at a low investment cost.
